The regular season is done and playoff action is now under way in the North Saskatchewan River Baseball League.

The wild card round is already in the books with those two games taking place July 4.

In one game the North Battleford Beavers’ season came to an end with a 5-3 loss in Meadow Lake to the Sox. This was a battle between the 8th and 9th seeded teams; the Beavers had gone into the game with a 5-8 record on the season, one game behind Meadow Lake.

The other game saw the 8-5 Battlefords Trappers easily take down the 4-9 Unity Midgets by an 11-2 final score to advance.

The results set up the quarterfinal series matchups. Those take place from July 8 to 15, with July 16 the makeup day for rainouts. The 13-0 Border City Blue Jays take on Meadow Lake in one series, the 10-2-1 Wilkie Brewers take on the Trappers, 10-3 Unity Cardinals take on 8-4-1 Standard Hill, and the last matchup features the Macklin Lakers and Lloydminster Twins, both with 9-4 records.

The semifinal round is scheduled for July 17 to 25 with the rain day being July 26. Finals are scheduled for July 29 to August 5.
