The Battlefords AA Barons fell short in their provincial midget final game in Swift Current Wednesday night.
They lost 2-0 to the Swift Current AA Broncos at the Credit Union iPlex Wednesday night. Swift Current wins the best of three finals two games to one.
Third period goals by Matt Christianson and then Cash Arnsten into an empty net sealed the win for the Broncos, who lost only one game all season, that being the first game of the finals to the Barons.
Cameron Taylor took the loss for the Barons, stopping 31 shots. The Barons fired 27 shots at Brad Nyen who got the shutout.
