The Battlefords AAA Stars were back in the loss column again after two road losses in Moose Jaw this weekend.
The club fell to the Moose Jaw Warriors by scores of 3-1 Oct. 12 and 5-1 on Oct. 13.
In the first game Saturday at Mosaic Place, the Stars’ only goal came from Carson Dobson on the power play in the second period, Colby Ralston assisting. Moose Jaw got two in the first and one in the third period for the win.
In the second game on Sunday, the Stars tied the game in the first period with a goal from Nick Steciuk with Noah Schindel and Liam Rodman assisting. But Moose Jaw’s Davis Fry scored with 34 seconds left in the first to give Moose Jaw a 2-1 lead and they scored three more the rest of the way for a 5-1 win.
The Stars now head to Wilcox on Oct. 19 and 20 for two games against the Notre Dame Hounds.
