The Battleford Beaver Blues have drawn first blood in the Saskatchewan Prairie Hockey League final series.
The top-seeded Blues beat the Edam Three Stars 6-5 in game one of the finals at Battleford Arena on Saturday.
The series is a best-of-five. Game two is set for Edam on Wednesday while the series returns to Battleford Arena Friday night for what could be the clinching game. Both games are set for 8:30 p.m.
