When the sun is out, so are the New Horizons, 40 strong showed up Monday. This time it took a count-back of five holes to determine a winner and a further one to determined second and third place. All came in with scores of 38.

When the sun is out, so are the New Horizons, 40 strong showed up Monday.

This time it took a count-back of five holes to determine a winner and a further one to determined second and third place. All came in with scores of 38.Don Murray, Allie Raycraft, Etta Meisner and Joe Waldbillig parred number four to take top honours. It was the birdie on three that put Lyle and Jutta Whitbread along with Bernie Gregoire and Jim Fraser in second place.They beat out Bruce Dalshaug, Don Beggs, Dick Blom and Fay Erickson who could only pared the hole.

The consolation winners, also on a count-back, were John Chomyn, Hank Nickel, Sid Waters and Tom Frey. This count was not to determine who had the best score on the final hole, but who had the worst, six counted for the prize.

This week it was Don Beggs who was on the lastteam to play the course at the North Battleford Golf and Country Club and came closest to the pin. Don Dament earned a free car wash for the longest putt on nine.

Aug. 27, will see them back at it, with the starting time of 9:30 a.m.
