Change is coming to the makeup of Team Silvernagle.

It was announced on their social media channels that Stefanie Lawton, the team’s third, has decided to “step back from competitive curling to spend more time with her family.”

The announcement was also made that lead Kara Thevenot of Prince Albert is also parting ways to “explore new opportunities”; she is currently looking for a new team.

That leaves skip Robyn Silvernagle of Twin Rivers Curling Club, as well as second Jessie Hunkin, who plan to stay together for the coming season.

Lawton had been with the team the last two years; Thevenot has curled with Silvernagle since 2015.

The past two seasons have seen the Silvernagle team win two provincial titles, as well as play in several Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling and World Curling Tour events, among others.

“We want to wish Stefanie and Kara all the best in the future and we can’t thank them enough for the two wonderful years we’ve had together!” the team stated. “Stay tuned for news of the new look Team Silvernagle!”
