Friday is shaping up as a crucial day for Robyn Silvernagle and Team Saskatchewan at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

The Saskatchewan team has two important games today against quality opponents: the Chelsea Carey rink from Alberta and the Rachel Homan rink from Ontario. The games will determine whether the Silvernagle team qualifies for the playoffs.

As it stands now Saskatchewan is tied with Alberta and Ontario with 7-2 records going into Friday's action. Three teams are right behind them at 6-3: Northern Ontario, PEI, and the wild card team.

Saskatchewan played their first games of the championship pool Thursday, defeating Krista McCarville of Northern Ontario 11-5 and Sarah Wark of British Columbia 8-6. The results mean the Silvernagle team has now stretched their win streak at the Scotties to five in a row.
