Golf championship schedule set

North Battleford Golf and Country Club will host mixed team event

The Golf Saskatchewan Championship schedule for 2016 has been announced and North Battleford is on the schedule.

North Battleford Golf and Country Club will host the 18th Saskatchewan Mixed Team event Aug. 27 and 28.

That will be the last of Golf Saskatchewan’s events this season. The rest of the tournament schedule includes:

98th Saskatchewan Amateur Women's on July 6-8, Moon Lake Golf and Country Club.

30th Saskatchewan Mid-Amateur Men's July 6-8, Moon Lake Golf and Country Club.

66th Saskatchewan Junior Women's July 11-13, TS and M Woodlawn Golf Club.

90th Saskatchewan Junior Men's July 11-13, TS and M Woodlawn Golf Club.

105th Amateur Men's July 18-21, the Legends Golf Club.

57th Saskatchewan Senior Women's July 26-28, Willows Golf and Country Club.

97th Saskatchewan Senior Men's July 26-28, Willows Golf and Country Club.

46th Saskatchewan Women's Rosebowl Aug. 12-13, Greenbryre Golf and Country Club.

Registration is now open and information on registration can be found at their website http://www.golfsaskatchewan.org/.

As well, Golf Saskatchewan held their annual general meeting April 16 at the Willows Golf and Country Club. Kyle Mulligan, PGA of Saskatchewan member and general manager of TS and M Woodlawn Golf Club, was elected president of Golf Saskatchewan for 2016-17.

He takes over from Richard Smith of the Katepwa Beach Golg Club. Delbert Betnar of Joanne Goulet Golf Club is vice-president and Todd Bergstresser, Golf Saskatchewan Public Player will be serving as treasurer.

Other members of the board are Mark Galambos of Saskatoon, Don Kunkel of Yorkton, Dave Forster of Regina, Wendy Besplug of Kindersley, Judy Sefton of Melfort and Kevin Duchscherer of Nipawin.
