Unfortunately a scheduling conflict has forced the SJHL to give up the North Stars’ home ice advantage in the Anavet Cup.

Because the Kinsmen Indoor Rodeo is on this weekend at the Civic Centre, games one and two of the Anavet Cup will be at the arena of the Manitoba champions starting Friday, April 26.

Game three, four and five will be back at the Civic Centre next week. Game three is Tuesday, April 30, game four goes May 1 and game five May 2, all at the Civic Centre.

The series then reverts to Manitoba for games six and seven. The complete schedule for the Anavet Cup will be issued Tuesday.

The SJHL has issued a statement on the change: “This was a difficult decision for all groups involved, but in the best interest of all concerned that made the most sense for the three groups.”
