Brayden Klimosko of the Battlefords North Stars has been named a co-winner of the SJHL Coach of the Year award.

He shares the award with Kevin Kaminski of the La Ronge Ice Wolves. The announcement was made Wednesday morning by the league.

In his second year with the North Stars, Klimosko has led the team to the best record in the league at 44-9-2 going into the final three games of the regular season. That follows up on last year’s Canalta Cup title.

Meanwhile, Kaminski has led the Ice Wolves back to the playoffs in his first year at the helm in La Ronge. The Ice Wolves were sitting in fourth place in the league going into the final games of the season this weekend.

The North Stars are on the road Wednesday night in Humboldt before returning home Friday for the home-and-home against the Kindersley Klippers to close the regular season.
