North Stars streak hits 15 with win in Nipawin

The Battlefords North Stars win streak now stands at 15 following a dominant 5-1 road win over the Nipawin Hawks Saturday night. After Carson Erhardt's goal put Nipawin ahead early in the first, it was all North Stars.

The Battlefords North Stars win streak now stands at 15 following a dominant 5-1 road win over the Nipawin Hawks Saturday night.

After Carson Erhardt's goal put Nipawin ahead early in the first, it was all North Stars. The North Stars managed goals from Austin Becker, Noah Form (on the power play), Matthias Urbanski and Quintin Loon-Stewardson in the first; Loon-Stewardson added another goal in the second period from Nivon and Austin Becker to complete the scoring.

Austin Schwab got the win in goal for the Battlefords stopping 31 of 32 shots; the North Stars managed 35 shots on Nipawin in the game.  

The win moves the North Stars to 22 wins and one loss this SJHL season. The team goes for win number 16 in a row on Wednesday night, back at the Civic Centre versus Yorkton.
