The Battlefords North Stars are now up 2-0 on the Flin Flon Bombers following a 2-1 overtime win Saturday night at home.

It was Kaden Boser's overtime goal that lifted the North Stars to a win. The goal came on the power play with the Bombers' Calvon Boots in the box for four minutes for high sticking in overtime.

It was another standout performance for Joel Grzybowski in net. Through seven periods of hockey Grzybowski has only allowed one goal, keeping the North Stars in the game despite being outshot again by the Bombers.

Grzybowski stopped 41 of 42 shots for the North Stars Saturday and had shutout the Bombers through four periods before Caleb Franklin scored to break the shutout streak in the second period.

The only other North Stars goal came from Braydon Buziak who scored at 7:58 of the first period.

Next up for the North Stars is a trip to Flin Flon for two games. Game three goes Tuesday night at Whitney Forum.
