NSRBL results to June 16

Here is a roundup of results from the North Saskatchewan River Baseball League for the weekend ending June 16.

Through the weekend the Border City Blue Jays remain on top of the league with an 8-0 record, a half game ahead of the Unity Cardinals who are 8-1. The Lloydminster Twins sit third at 7-2 and the Battlefords Trappers fourth at 7-3. The Wilkie Brewers are also in the mix with a 6-1-1 record.

Well down the standings are the North Battleford Beavers at 3-5 and the North Battleford Midgets are 0-9.  

There were three games in the league last Wednesday. In those contests the Trappers beat the NB Midgets 18-3, the NB Beavers fell to the Twins 10-1, and the Unity Midgets beat Standard Hill 10-9. 

On Thursday night, the Trappers won again, beating Lloydminster Twins 5-4. Meanwhile the Beavers lost again to Unity 6-1.

Other action saw Standard Hill beat Mervin 15-4 and Macklin over Edam 10-6.
