The Battlefords Pee Wee Beavers hosted the 13 U AA Tier 3 Provincial Championships on the weekend of July 26-28 in North Battleford.
The Pee Wee Beavers went into the final game having a perfect 3-0 record facing the White Butte Broncos team. When looking at the results, they were down to their chance come Sunday morning. The Beavers however lost to the Broncos in the final game by some well-placed hits in the final innings of the game.
Head Coach Mike Hummeny said he was pleased with the effort of his team over the entire weekend and will use it as a stepping stone going into the 2020 season of baseball.
He said, “It would have been great to win in our own backyard for the organization and for the players families who put so much into the year and the weekend.”
