The Saskatchewan Rush have announced they have signed their transition/defender Connor McClelland to a two-year deal.

The news was made official Monday. McClelland is a relatively new addition to the club, as he was selected 12th overall in the first round of the 2020 NLL entry draft held remotely Sept. 17 last year. McClelland has yet to suit up with the club, with the COVID-19 pandemic resulting in the cancellation of the 2020-21 season.

“We are really pleased to have Connor McClelland on board with the Rush for his rookie campaign and beyond,” said Rush General Manager Derek Keenan in a statement.

“We think Connor will make an immediate impact on our backend and transition game. We are also excited to announce that Connor will be relocating to the market for the upcoming season and working hard to re-engage our dedicated Rush Nation fan base.”
