The Saskatchewan Rush have made another key signing announcement, with the news that Ryan Dilks has agreed to a new one-year deal.

According to General Manager Derek Keenan in a news release: “Ryan has been one of our leaders since the first day he put on a Rush uniform. He’s a tenacious, smart and quick defender with the ability to create lightning-fast turnovers. He’s a loose ball hog and very savvy in transition.”

Dilks is originally from Hamilton, Ont. but now makes his home in Edmonton, Alta. He was the National Lacrosse League Defender of the Year in 2016, leading the League with 51 caused turnovers and ultimately ending teammate Kyle Rubisch’s four-year reign as Defensive Player of the Year.

Dilks also set career highs that year with five goals, 13 assists and 18 points. During 2020 he led the NLL again with 27 caused turnovers in 10 games.
