There is some good news to report about the future plans of one of the graduating Battlefords North Stars players.

It was announced Thursday that centre Rylan Nivon has committed to Concordia Thunder, based in Edmonton.

In a statement Joey Bouchard, head coach, welcomed Nivon to the team.

“We are excited to welcome a player of Rylan’s caliber to our hockey program. He has a high hockey IQ and great play making abilities. Rylan will add more depth to our team and I am confident that he will be an offensive asset to the Thunder.”

After joining the north Stars from Lloydminster last season, Nivon played 44 games and had 12 goals and 34 assists.
