Here is a look at scores from the Sask West Hockey League this past weekend, with three games on Sunday, Jan. 5:
In one contest the Hafford Hawks beat the Unity Miners 5-4. Kyle Litchenwald’s goal in the second period held up as the game winner for Hafford, despite third-period goals from Unity’s Jake McMillen and Reed Delainey.
In another, Wilkie Outlaws clobbered the Eatonia Huskies 12-2 in Wilkie. Kolton Baptiste, Brock Harrison, Andrew Herle, and Derek Keller each had two goals in the win.
Finally, the Kindersley Sr. Klippers beat Macklin Mohawks 5-2.
The overall standings have the Wilkie Outlaws in first place at 12-1 on the season, followed by Kindersley at 12-3, Macklin at 10-3-1 and Hafford at 10-4.
Scheduled for Wednesday was a game between Biggar Nationals and Edam 3 Stars, in Edam. Friday night action sees Wilkie at Hafford and Unity at Luseland.
