Silvernagle in action in Saskatoon to close Grand Slam season

The Robyn Silvernagle team out of Twin Rivers Curling Club is hoping to go out with a bang in Saskatoon. They are in the field for the Humpty’s Champions Cup, the final event of the season for the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling.

The Robyn Silvernagle team out of Twin Rivers Curling Club is hoping to go out with a bang in Saskatoon.

They are in the field for the Humpty’s Champions Cup, the final event of the season for the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling.

It takes place April 23 to 28 at Merlis Belsher Place in Saskatoon, and the team is hoping support from the home crowd will lift their team to the title. 

Team Silvernagle is urging their fans known as the #SilverSquad to “pack the house with purple” for their games. They are also urging fans to bring cowbells and also homemade signs for the event.

The schedule sees Silvernagle take on Elena Stern at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Team Flaxey on Wednesday at 8 p.m. with Laura Walker substituting for Allison Flaxey, Anna Hasselborg on Thursday at 8 p.m., and Colleen Jones at 4 p.m. on Friday.

Tiebreakers and playoffs happen Saturday and the women’s final is set for Sunday at 2 p.m.
