Silvernagle off to good start at prov. Scotties

The team of Robyn Silvernagle have two wins in the books at the 2020 provincial Scotties in Melville.

The defending provincial champions, representing Twin Rivers Curling Club of North Battleford, opened with a commanding 8-2 win over Shalon Fleming of Highland Curling Club on Friday night. 

Then on Saturday morning in the 9 a.m. draw, Silvernagle beat Penny Barker of Moose Jaw 7-5, in A event semi-final action..

Barker had taken an early 4-1 lead  on the strength of a three-point third end, but Team Silvernagle scored two in the fourth, two in the fifth, one in the sixth and finally one more in the tenth for the victory. 

Silvernagle is back in action at 7:30 p.m. tonight in Draw Five, against the Michelle Englot team from Regina. This game will be the finals for the A event with the winner clinching a spot in the playoffs. Englot had defeated the Sherry Anderson team 6-5 to earn the matchup with Silvernagle on Saturday night.
