Silvernagle off to good start at provincial Scotties

The Robyn Silvernagle rink has gotten off to a good start at the provincial Scotties women's curling championship in Humboldt. In their first game Tuesday Team Silvernagle routed Jessica Mitchell's rink by a score of 10-1.

The Robyn Silvernagle rink has gotten off to a good start at the provincial Scotties women's curling championship in Humboldt.

In their first game Tuesday Team Silvernagle routed Jessica Mitchell's rink by a score of 10-1. They scored four in the seventh end to put the game out of reach, prompting the Mitchell team to concede early. 

In the second game Tuesday night, Silvernagle scored two in the ninth end and defeated defending champion Sherry Anderson 9-7. 

The wins give Team Silvernagle a perfect 2-0 record to start the women's championship, which runs the rest of the week. Games on Wednesday see Silvernagle take on Penny Barker at 2:30pm and Sherry Just at 7:30 pm.
