The team of Robyn Silvernagle is heading back to the national Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

Silvernagle beat Sherry Anderson by an 8 -5 score in the provincial Scotties final in Melville on Tuesday.

Anderson scored two in the ninth end to pull within one going into the tenth end. On her last rock in that end, Anderson drew to the house to lie two.

But Team Silvernagle had the hammer, and all she needed on last rock was to knock the two red Anderson stones out of scoring position to win it. That is exactly what happened as they scored two of their own for the 8-5 victory.

This was the third straight year that Silvernagle and Anderson have met in the provincial final, and the fourth year in a row that Silvernagle has made it to the final game. For the past two championship seasons the team has included third Stefanie Lawton, second Jessie Hunkin and lead Kara Thevenot. The team is coached by Lesley McEwan.

In this year's provincial Scotties, Team Silvernagle went undefeated in all five games they played, winning the A event over Michelle Englot and then taking the page playoff game 7-6 over Ashley Howard to advance to the final.

The win by Silvernagle sends the Twin Rivers-based curling team to Moose Jaw for the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in February, where they will represent the home province as Team Saskatchewan.
