It is the first time Saskatchewan has claimed the Cup in the eight times the event has been held since 2009. This tournament, which took place in Calgary, included the highest-rated under-16 players from the Western provinces. Among those on the team was Kobie Anderson, a forward from North Battleford who plays for the Saskatoon Blazers.
