Two playoff games, Brier results

The North Stars fell 5-3 Tuesday in Nipawin and now sit down 3-1 in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League's Bauer Conference.Ryne Keller, Boyd Wakelin and Blake Tatchell scored for the North Stars, who pushed to tie the game with their goalie pulled, but to no avail.

Five different players scored for Nipawin, as Graham Hildebrand allowed three goals, Connor Creech surrender one and the Hawks hit the empty net once to seal the win.

Game five goes Friday at the Civic Centre.

In Saskatchewan Prairie Hockey League action, the Battleford Beaver Blues won 6-1 on home ice over the Glaslyn North Stars to go up 2-1 in the best-of-five championship series.

Finally in Tim Horton Brier action, the Scott Manners rink, which is curling out of the Battleford Curling Club fell to 2-5 after losses to Nova Scotia and Ontario on Tuesday.

The Manners-foursome play twice on Wednesday and twice Thursday.
