Right now, Kerr’s Cleaners is the only dry cleaner in North Battleford. Co-owners Cassandra Germsheid, who is Battleford native, and Jesse Crozier of Biggar know better than most people the needs of the local community.
“We don’t have competition right now, but that doesn’t mean we’re resting on our laurels – we aim to give outstanding service to all our customers,” says Germsheid. “We’re very aware of the legacy of Mr. Kerr, who founded this business in 1946 and we want to contribute to and participate in the community in every way, through everything from the small sponsorships we’re doing now to holding larger events.”
2. It has the highest standards
The goal of Kerr’s Cleaners is to take every item and make it look as good as new. “We’re very detail oriented,” says Germsheid. “We’re extremely picky about how things are finished, and if we can’t do the job to a good standard, we’ll offer you your money back.”
3. It does more than just dry-cleaning
As well, there are laundry services and linen and uniform rentals, plus a wet-wash option that’s a greener alternative to dry-cleaning. The team at Kerr’s Cleaners researches all the latest techniques and technology, so they can advise you on the best cleaning option. There are also alterations and repairs.
“We’ve rescued and brought back to life many items, whether it’s because of a stain or damage to the fabric,” says Germsheid. “Sometimes you just don’t have the time or the skill to replace a button or shorten a pair of pants, and that’s where we can help.”
