SASKATOON — A 17-year-old boy in Saskatoon has been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of a man.
The shooting happened last Saturday morning on the city's west side.
Police say the 35-year-old man died in hospital.
The death was later determined to be Saskatoon's 16th homicide of the year.
The accused, who cannot be identified, was arrested without incident Thursday afternoon by the police department's guns and gangs unit.
The youth is also charged with possession of a firearm while prohibited to do so.
